In this unit, I will provide the students with an overview of the Civil War. The students will learn about the causes and effects of the Civil War. The students will also learn about the major battles of the war and events that took place during the war. Through the use of technology, I will be able to provide my students with multiple ways to learn about the Civil War. My hope is that after this unit has been completed, my students will have a better understanding of the war and its causes and effects on the United States.

Technology Integration
To begin this unit, I will use my voki to introdue the students to the material that will be covered throughout the unit. I will use my digital movie to provide my students with visual images surrounding the unit. As a project in this unit, the students will be required to research images of the Civil War to create a time line. The students will then use the images to make a digital movie to present to the class. I will use the websites listed in order to assist me with helping the students to better understand the material. I will then use my jeopardy game as a unit review.
